Plants in the U.S.

Bergen Pipe Supports, Inc. (BPS) has two plants in the USA. The largest facility located in Donora, Pennsylvania (shown above) is located 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sited on 17+ acres of land with over 180,000 sq.ft. of floor space under roof, this plant supplies pipe supports and related steel fabrication for fossil, combined cycle, bio-mass, solar, and nuclear power plants, as well as refineries, chemical plants and any industrial application worldwide.

The second facility in Waggaman, Louisiana (shown on the right) is located 15 miles southwest of New Orleans, Louisiana. Sited on 20+ acres of land with 87,000 sq.ft. of floor space under roof. This plant supplies pipe supports and related steel fabrications for waste-water treatment plants of all types, marine and oil platforms, pulp and paper processing plants, LNG loading and unloading piers and tanks, as well as a wide range of commercial building requirements both in and outside the United States.

Brief History

Established in 1964 as a joint venture between Bergen Iron Works, Inc. and Carpenter and Paterson Inc, Bergen-Paterson Pipe Supports, Inc. was formed to service the growing requirements of the electric power industry. The purchase of F&S Central in 1983 provided a new product line. The merger with Power Pipe Supports, Inc. in 1996 resulted in the creation of Bergen-Power Pipe Supports, Inc. which expanded market share, increased sales coverage and increased manufacturing capacity.

In March of 2011 Bergen-Power was acquired by Hill & Smith (USA) Limited along with the Paterson Group, to augment its existing Pipe Supports Group. This acquisition allowed Bergen-Power access to overseas markets for new nuclear plants while adding production capacity with the Pipe Supports Group plants throughout the world for commercial projects. In 2014 the company was officially renamed Bergen Pipe Supports, Inc.

Quality

All of the products offered by Bergen Pipe Supports, Inc. comply with ANSI/ASME B31.1, B31.3, and B31.7 Codes for Pressure Piping, the Manufacturers Standardization Society standards SP-58 and SP-69, and Federal Specification A-A-1192A for Pipe Hangers and Supports. Bergen Pipe Supports, Inc.  . A Quality Program that complies with the Code of Federal Regulations Sections 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21, ANSI N45.2 and ANSI / ASME NQA-1 is also available, and a Quality Management System to ISO-9001.
